MEET KENT & HOLLY
A mutual friend set Kent and Holly up on a blind date in 2014. The first date was in the tractor; they were married two years later. They're opposites in nearly every way — one extrovert, one introvert, trading off optimism and pessimism without ever landing on the same side at the same time. The one thing they share is a love of agriculture. Both are 4th-generation farmers.
KENT SEREDA - PRESIDENT
The 4th generation of Sereda Farms, he earned a Diploma in Agricultural Production from Olds College before coming home to run the operation. Under his leadership, Sereda Farms pivoted from a cow/calf and cattle-feeding operation into the irrigated crop farm it is today.
HOLLY WHITE - CFO
Grew up on a mixed farm in Saskatchewan and earned a degree in Agricultural Biology from the University of Saskatchewan. Before meeting Kent, she was the Manager of Agricultural Services for the County of Newell. She's a Professional Agrologist, Certified Crop Advisor, and Certified Pesticide Applicator. She joined Sereda Farms full time in 2017.
Together they've completed CTEAM, the Canadian Total Excellence in Agricultural Management program. Continuous learning is a core belief. So is work-life balance, for themselves and the people working alongside them. Communication and leadership are two skills they believe are essential and work on continuously. Hobbies outside of farming remain a work in progress; so far, the only frontrunner is passionately debating how things should be done.
